Hehe. That sounds like a dirty pick up line or a lyric from one of the myriad R&B songs littering the airwaves.
My bacon really does come in the mail. From Tennessee, to be exact.
There’s bacon, and then there’s Benton’s Smoky Mountain Country Ham’s bacon. You haven’t really lived until you’ve had some Benton’s bacon. This stuff is crazy good.
I think we first heard about it in Southern Living, but it’s not uncommon to see it on the menu in a southern restaurant. (We Southerners know a thing or two about good food.)
It’s thick sliced bacon, nicely smoked and has the perfect combination of crispness and tenderness. It pretty much melts on your tongue and makes your mouth do a happy dance.
Benton’s bacon is unique in its taste, but also in its smell. It will make your kitchen and every room in the vicinity smell like a campfire. We always try to make it on a clear day, so we can have the windows open to help with air circulation. (My dad also sometimes grills it. No, I have no idea how you grill bacon.)
Regardless, this bacon is SO good it is worth your house being bathed in Eau de Smolder for awhile as a result.
Yum.
Yum.
Yum.
(If four 1-pound packages are too much for you, feel free to send some my way.)
(I heard my brothers will also take donations.)
Yummy, good for you (not), Bacon!!! I have just added some bacon to the crock pot meal with a recipe Dad put together including boneless spare ribs and sauerkraut. Hmmm...it is to cook all night and I can only imagine what the house will smell like in the morning.
