My brother's company has a location in Tuscaloosa, Alabama that was hit hard by the tornadoes. Luckily no one at the location was injured during the storm ... but there were multiple employees who suffered damaged homes and ruined cars. Some employees lost everything.
He forwarded an email to our family with some photos of the damaged location. Included in that email was information about donations, etc. to help the affected employees get back on their feet. At the very bottom of the list was a request for cards and encouraging notes.
I reached out to my sister-in-law, a fifth grade teacher, and asked if her kids would be willing to make cards. They did such a great job! The cards are really sweet ... some are funny, some are encouraging, some are downright original. There were about 25 cards total that they made.
It put such a smile on my face to send that package to Alabama! A big thanks goes out to Ashley and her fifth graders!
