I’ve been quite slack about posting regular updates lately. I do write them…just takes forever to get them posted. I primarily blame our commute, which has been the bane of our existence since February.
But…not for much longer!! We’ve received official confirmation that a spot has opened up for L.J. at his new school!! He starts in mid-June.
We are very relieved that our wait is nearly over and that we’ll once again have some semblance of an evening. Things have been pretty tough lately – we leave at 7 a.m. and by the time we get home, eat dinner and get L.J. to bed – it’s well past 8 p.m. By that point Mike and I are too fried to do anything but veg on the couch for an hour before it’s our bedtime. Needless to say, nothing gets done during the week and our weekends are subsequently stressful trying to cram chores + errands + activities + family time.
It’s not a recipe for success for a family that thrives on routine, organization and orderliness! But we are thankful we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and we are very thankful that we have the means to be as choosy as we are about L.J.’s schooling.
