Hannah is one week old! We are enamored with our beautiful baby girl and can’t stop marveling at how much tinier she is as compared to L.J. She is so snuggly and squishy!
Hannah Likes:
- Sleeping
- Being held/snuggled
- Mealtime
- Her pacifier
- Being swaddled
Hannah Dislikes:
- Wardrobe changes
- Sponge baths
- Sleeping between 11 p.m. – 3 a.m.
Baby Personality:
Hannah is a sweet baby who loves to be held and cuddled. When she is awake she’s very alert and will stare intently at us. She is a calm and content baby so far and is rarely fussy.
She currently has her nights and days pretty mixed up. We’ve struggled most with the 11 p.m. – 3 a.m. window, when she is frequently awake and not in the best spirits. While mommy/daddy/Nana want to close our eyes and sleep, she wants to be held and talked to, preferably while rocking or walking around.
Baby Logistics:
She had her first doctor’s appointment on Jan. 19 and weighed in at 7 lbs, 4 oz. She’s just an ounce shy of her birth weight and the doctor said that she is doing great. She’s a pound smaller than L.J. was at one week. She feels much tinier and more “newborn like” than L.J. did!
Not anticipating a smaller baby, we were not stocked up on newborn diapers or newborn clothing. She has the tiniest little behind and newborn diapers are still pretty large on her. Huggies pretty much fall off, but Pampers are working out. She swims in her clothes, but I’m sure she’ll fill them out quickly!
