As usual, I have more updates than time to write them. So in the meantime, enjoy a few more L.J.-isms that have made us laugh recently.
Taking his shoes off and seeing he has no socks on:
“I’m berry-foots Mommy!”
How he refers to either a milkshake or strawberry-flavored milk:
“Shake-milk”
An increasingly common response when he asks to pat my belly:
“Hi Baby Sister! Mommy you have a BIG belly!”
Upon seeing the Star Wars-themed fruit snacks I bought:
“Ooh…ASTRONAUT fruit snacks!!”
He refused to take the Dimetapp I gave him for his cold. I set the dosage cup on the end table, planning to try again after a bit. 30 minutes later...
“Mommy it’s time for my lollipop! I finished my medicine!”
Looking at/narrating nearby Christmas lights:
“There’s a sleigh…there’s Santa…there’s a snowman…MICKEY!!!...there’s another snowman…oooh a choo-choo! All aboard!... there’s some presents…
(Where did he learn ‘sleigh’ from?!)
And the time I had to leave the room because I started laughing:
Mike: “L.J. I’m going to count to three and you better be standing and ready to put your pajamas on.”
L.J.: (squashing himself in the far corner of the crib) “No.”
Mike: “One…
L.J.: “STOP! Put your fingers DOWN Daddy!”
