Above is a picture of L.J. enjoying a McDonald’s strawberry milkshake, which he earned for good behavior at school. Not all days recently have been gold-star-worthy – he worked hard for that milkshake and was as pleased and proud as he looks!
(Please note Hannah’s epic expression in the background. She also had a bit of a milkshake because equality is very important when you’re two.)
Anyway, one day recently L.J. got sent to the stairs for a poor behavior choice. I was sitting on the couch listening to him mutter about the indignities of timeout when I heard this priceless gem:
“I just can’t believe myself. This is not fun!”
It’s a little bit sad (it was not his first rodeo on the stairs that day), but mostly hilarious. I’ve shared the story with a few people and everyone’s reaction is that this little anecdote must be preserved. So here it is for all to enjoy.
We love you all the time, Landon. And we know timeout is not fun. That’s the point :)
