We made it back to Bil and Liz’s house late in the afternoon, just in time to enjoy a family get together. Another cousin and his family drove in from Harrisburg and it was wonderful to see them. They also have a baby girl, Ruby, and it was so sweet seeing the three baby cousins (second cousins?) playing together.
The evening was filled with good food and lots of laughter. We lingered over food, over stories and conversation, over drinks and dessert. It really was a blast. Mike, Bil and Donnie were close growing up, and I got along great with Liz and Stephanie. I didn’t know anyone well going into the evening, but by the time it was over we all felt like old friends.
