Obligatory Halloween trick-or-treat pictures coming right up! L.J. had a good time trick-or-treating this year. Mike said they made it to about a dozen houses. I stayed home to hand out candy and then L.J. took over the candy distribution when they returned. He took his candy duties very seriously and enjoyed this portion of the evening just as much as going door-to-door. The neighborhood kids were very patient as he carefully selected one lollipop and one piece of chocolate to put in each bag.
Funny story: We had been prepping L.J. for what to do when he approached each house, teaching him that you say "trick or treat!" It took a couple times for it to sink in; our initial conversations went like this:
Us: L.J., what do you say when you get to the door?
L.J.: Open the door!
Us: Well they will open the door...but what else do you say?
L.J.: Please!
And...crash. Goodnight!
