We have a boomerang baby and a little fish!
Week 19 brought yet another trip to the doctor for her lingering cold. She is getting better, but it’s been a slow and frustrating process. The doctor said Hannah needs to sleep upright, so she’s back in our room in the Rock ‘n Play. But…she’s sleeping through the night again!!! Thank goodness for that!!
We’ve introduced Hannah to the pool and she absolutely loves it. We went to the pool three times over Memorial Day weekend, and each time she wanted to be in the water. Not sitting on the side of the pool watching the water, not sitting on the step with water lapping at her toes, in the water. She was squirming off my lap to get in the water, which I didn’t even know was cognitively possible with a 4.5 month old.
Hannah looks completely adorable in her little swim suits, but her age and love of water have presented a bit of a conundrum. First, disposable swim diapers don’t come small enough. Second, she’s too young for sunscreen. We’ve managed to keep her shaded in the pool thus far, but it’s not the easiest thing and we are going to the beach in a few weeks. Nana to the rescue! We are SO excited for the full-coverage swimsuit arriving in the next few days!!
