The Clairvoyant Coconut

After 7 years together, Mike finally took me to a Jimmy Buffett concert!

Mike is a huge Parrothead, to the point that mentioning Jimmy Buffett generally elicits a good-natured eye-roll from anyone who knows him well. He listens to JB daily, knows every song, most trivia facts and has a deep affinity for palm trees and Hawaiian shirts. He used to have a large collection of Hawaiian shirts, but I saved America’s eyesight by helping him dispose of most of them when we got married…he’s not still a bit sore about that or anything…

Anywho, the son of a son of a sailor came to town and Mike secured a pair of free tickets for great seats. I have to admit, we were both pretty excited about having a very rare date night!

We really enjoyed the concert! Well, of course Mike did – but I enjoyed it too! Jimmy Buffett put on a great show, I proved Mike wrong by knowing more than 2 songs and we enjoyed a fun evening out sans kiddos. 

Speaking of L.J. and Hannah, they did great with the sitter. I wasn’t too nervous leaving Hannah for the first time…but was still very relieved to get home and hear that all went well.
