We had a very rainy weekend, which means we had a lot of quiet family time. It was a welcome break from the usual hustle and bustle! Additionally, L.J. was under the weather and home from school Thursday and Friday – which means mommy and daddy were able to get a few things done around the house before the weekend even started. Hooray for that!
The general theme of the weekend was ‘Eat & Sleep’ because L.J. did copious amounts of both. When he wasn’t eating or sleeping, he was either spitting up or rubbing his snotty nose on the closest available surface or parent. I know I’m making you super envious of our weekend…
Despite the number of Kleenex, burp rags and outfits all three of us went through, we did manage to have a lot of fun with our little man. He is growing so quickly and we love how interactive he is becoming!
As you might expect, by Sunday L.J. was going a little stir-crazy from four days of being cooped up. I was beginning to think his favorite Sesame character changed from Elmo to Oscar the Grouch. There was just nothing making him happy! I took him to the mall for a change of scenery and then Mike took advantage of a break in the weather and took him on a walk. That (mostly) restored his sunny disposition and we were able to end the weekend on a good note!
