L.J. – 34 & 35 Weeks

We just can’t get enough of our sweet boy these days! I’m finding it harder to leave him at school. He is so playful and interactive, and I really do miss him when I’m at work.

L.J. is officially an independent sitter! Just within the past week or so he has (mostly) stopped toppling over. He can also now lean over and/or reach for something without falling.

He can also stand! That milestone happened this past Saturday. Mike had him on his lap, pulled him into a standing position, and he did it! It was the first time he did not immediately buckle his knees and sit down. He is definitely behind on this milestone and I was anxious for him to do it. There was lots of cheering and clapping for L.J.!

And, to complete the triumvirate, L.J. can drink from a straw! This was a fun little accomplishment and to say that L.J. is pleased as punch with himself is an understatement. I bought him some Playtex straw cups this weekend (short straw = less likely to gag himself) and he’s doing great with them.
