I seriously love this kid. L.J. is all boy and while he keeps us on our toes, his curiosity is priceless and one of our favorite things about him.
He is obsessed with price tags! Let me just issue a blanket apology to stores who now have clothing items that are either missing tags or have mangled and chewed tags. Really sorry about that.
L.J. has a weird fascination with chewing/licking shoes. One recent morning he crawled into my closet and found my shoe shelf. He was in heaven! (At least for the 15 seconds until I dragged him out of there, much to his consternation.)
He also has a disgusting preoccupation with his diaper pail. We now take it out of his room when we do his weekly pictures. Otherwise, this results:
Err…I need to clarify. Please be assured that’s a clean diaper on the chair. He’s looking for the diaper pail because he likes to play with the handle on it.
He likes to push doors shut. If Mike is in the laundry room and L.J. is in the kitchen by the door, he’ll shut Mike into the laundry room. And then get a very proud look on his face.
We thought this box would be great fun for L.J. to play with. What is the box made of? That’s right, cardboard. Guess who promptly tried to eat all the corners off the box?
His teacher told us that she had to separate L.J. and one of his classmates the other day. When I asked why, she said he was using his classmate to try and pull himself up to a standing position. Repeat after me: “We do not treat our friends like furniture.”
