It’s been a slow November here on the blog, but quite a busy one in real life! I do have some posts written, just have to find time for editing and publishing them.
Time. Ha.
It’s a busy time of year for everyone, but it feels especially busy for us this year. Work has been crazy for Mike and me – the kind that requires a full day + evening catch up – and L.J. remains under the impression that sleeping through the night is entirely optional.
We attempted a few nights of sleep training, but that didn’t work out very well. It has been either put him in bed with us or let him stand in his crib and announce to everyone within a 5 mile radius that the British are coming.
Much like it was in 1775, the theme here is survival. We can either get no sleep, or we can get half-assed sleep punctuated by small bony body parts jabbing where they don’t belong.
We also recently found out that our landlord is putting our house on the market. This news was quite unexpected and quite unwelcome. We are now in the midst of house hunting. We’re pretty excited to be able to buy our first family home together, but the timing is slightly less than stellar.
All of the above items summarized in two words: We’re exhausted.
Our family’s adventures will continue to be chronicled, just not always on an every-couple-of-days schedule for the time being.
