These days L.J. is very keen on being just like daddy! He has to wear gloves for trash duty, since daddy wears gloves while doing yardwork. He’s recently adopted one of my belts, so he can wear a belt just like daddy. And when daddy was recuperating on the couch after his fall…well, L.J. recuperated too!
We got him a new splash pool this summer. He loves it! He calls it his “beach” and has such a great time splashing around. The other weekend we invited a few friends over for dinner and the “beach” was a huge hit with the kids!
L.J. still has zero interest in anything on television except for his beloved Bubble Guppies. Even Mike and I have his favorite episodes memorized at this point.
He got his first haircut in a salon! He did really well and I think his cut turned out nicely. I liked the way the lady cut his hair, but was not a fan of the salon itself – conundrum for next time.
After his haircut and a short trip to the pool, L.J. discovered the wonders of shaving cream:
The other day L.J. drug his blue chair over towards the coffee table. He kept getting frustrated and we could not figure out what in the world he was trying to do. We finally figured it out – he wanted to imitate mommy and daddy’s classy habit of putting our feet up on the coffee table. He was immensely proud of himself when he got situated the way he wanted to!
