I’ve never been a still sleeper and the poor sleep quality that comes with pregnancy has only compounded that fact.
Mike got up early the other morning and when I asked him why he said that he hadn’t slept well because I’d tossed and turned all night. I apologized for keeping him up, took a shower and then went to make the bed.
This picture is just entirely too funny not to share. I literally stood at the foot of our queen-size bed and laughed, while inwardly I felt pangs of sympathy for my poor husband. The area highlighted in pink – note that it’s about half the width of a standard-size pillow – is where my husband had been relegated to sleep. I had quite successfully commandeered the other three-quarters of the bed, complete with three pillows, all the covers and apparently my afghan also joined the party.
If there was ever a keepin’ it real photo about preganncy…I’m pretty sure this might take the cake.
My husband is so chivalrous about the whole thing. I’ve told him numerous times to either wake me up or shove me over and his response each time is, “No. You’re pregnant and if you’re sound asleep I’m not going to disturb you.” He has, however, threatened to abdicate to the guest room and I’ve told him I won’t hold that against him!
