Easter Eggstravaganza

Easter was so much fun this year! My parents hosted a potluck dinner on Easter Saturday, complete with an adult Easter egg hunt.

Before we began, there were bunny ears all around:

I sacrificed a few eggs so that I could take pictures of the egg hunt. Watching two dozen middle-aged adults scramble to gather eggs and find the special “prize” eggs was one of the most entertaining things I’ve seen in a long time!

Of course our beloved bunny Michael Jackson had to take part in the festivities:

Needless to say, everyone had a blast and I think my parents should make this an annual tradition.

L.J. was thoroughly exhausted by the thrill of the hunt:

The house was filled with good friends and good food and the walls echoed with the sounds of laughter and conversation. My parents have been blessed with an amazing group of friends. They are at least 20 years my senior…but all of the “kids” in the group truly enjoy hanging out with the “grown ups.” Such a wonderful group of people!

Slowly the celebration wound down and the partygoers made their way home. I wandered out to the screen porch to check on L.J. and found him fast asleep in my brother’s arms.

Big J and Little J – these two share a special bond and absolutely adore each other. Love them both!
