L.J. – 16, 17 & 18 Weeks

I’m behind on L.J.’s weekly pictures. He doesn’t look all that different in these three pictures, but boy has my little man changed over the past few weeks! It is so much fun to see him grow and learn new things!

Everything he touches immediately goes into his mouth. Hair, necklaces, blankets, toys, other people’s hands and fingers…if you’re close to L.J., prepare yourself for a wet, slobbery surprise!

He continues to be absolutely fascinated by his hands. It’s a simultaneously cute/aggravating phase because he doesn’t understand that he can’t get both his hand and whatever else he wants at the moment in his mouth at the same time. We’ve been playing the paci game a lot lately.

We have moved him from a sink bathtub to a bath sponge in the regular bathtub and he is a fan! He likes that he’s no longer scrunched up and I like that he’s much easier to wash. Just this weekend, he discovered that he can splash the water by kicking his legs and was absolutely delighted by his discovery. Bathtime is about to get a lot messier at our house!

Hands down, my favorite recent development happened courtesy of my dad this weekend: he got L.J. to laugh! What a sweet, beautiful sound to hear my baby boy laugh for the first time! It was a big, hearty laugh, too. It is now my mission to get him to do it again…
