Fall Football Weekend #2

For our second Fall Football Weekend I went to a consignment sale while L.J. stayed home with a non-grandparent babysitter for the first time.

(Yes, he’s almost two. Yes, we need to get out more. Moving along.)

A babysitter in the traditional sense of the word was likely to be a colossal failure, so instead I set up a playdate at our house with one of his friends from school. They have been over before, so he is familiar with both his friend K and her parents.

He did great! Well, to be fair, he played the role of martyr expertly when we left and he threw himself against the door screaming. However, he quickly recovered and had a very fun playdate! K’s mom commented on how amiable he was…and how much he ate for snack. When I got home and it was time to leave, K threw herself screaming against the door because she didn’t want to go home. So, I’d consider it an all-around success.

A trip to Costco for free samples a few staples followed by a trip to Publix rounded out our afternoon. The Dawgs lost an extremely close game to South Carolina on Saturday evening. I’m not ready to talk about that yet.
