It occurred to me the other day that I haven’t documented a pretty big milestone: L.J. is now sleeping in his big boy bed! It happened a couple weeks ago. One night he told Mike he wanted to sleep in his bed, and that was the end of sleeping in his crib. No fanfare at all!
He’s done really well with the transition. He will sometimes read books or rearrange his animal menagerie before he falls asleep, but he rarely gets out of bed.
L.J. has also started napping in his bed, which is a big step forward! We’ve started preparing the nursery and now refer to it as “Baby Sister’s room” and “Baby Sister’s crib” - we think that helped with the transition.
His bed has a lot of history, as it was first my mom's as a little girl and then it became mine. Pretty cool that now L.J. gets to use it, too!
