We got a little smug about last week’s easier-than-anticipated transition back to school/work, so as it goes this week our balloon popped and we fell back down to earth with a loud thud. Week 14 has been rough on all of us!
Hannah came home from school on Friday with a nasty cold and it’s put her through the paces all week. She sounded so bad Sunday morning I took her to Urgent Care, but fortunately she didn’t have anything more serious/concerning. After a thorough cleaning of her nose she improved quite a bit (and made me feel a little silly for taking her in…).
Her cold – and the resulting eating/sleeping changes – have disrupted the whole family’s schedule. L.J.’s bedtime was pushed back several days due to caring for Hannah, which pushed our bedtime back, too. Actually that was mostly because we got sucked into the O.J. trial miniseries. Anyway. We are all bleary-eyed and looking forward to the weekend.
In other Hannah news this week, she is working on rolling over! She was practicing the other night and apparently it was so much work that she passed out mid-roll. She slept in that spot for over an hour.
Here we go…so I twist like this…and pull my leg over…get some momentum…hey, my thumb !...zonk……..
She’s also doing really well with her head control and is able to sit (assisted) in the Bumbo for a few minutes at a time. She loves to be upright and able to look around.
Her cold has caused a couple fussy days at school, but her teachers continue to report that they think she is a delight and has been doing really well overall. Go, Hannah!
