Hannah – 18 Weeks Old

IMG_0195

Houston, we have a problem. Sister Bear has not been sleeping through the night. What happened to my rockstar night sleeper?!

Hannah has had a rough time with her bronchiolitis. It just won’t go away! We went to the doctor on Monday for her 4-month appointment and the doctor said there wasn’t any improvement, so we came home with a breathing machine. It doesn’t seem to be doing much yet, but we’ve only had it a few days.

The bronchiolitis first led to night awakenings because she coughed and woke herself up. And then she figured if she’s up, she might as well eat.

Her coughing spells have gotten much better, but now she’s decided that she rather likes getting fed in the middle of the night – so she’s still waking up and (loudly) demanding food.

In fact, she likes this midnight snack bar so much she’s waking up more than once. Help!!! The other night she woke up and ate at 2:45. And then woke up at 3:45 because she had a bubble and wanted to eat again. She thanked me for my nocturnal efforts by spitting up all over my nightgown and hair at 4 a.m. For the love, Hannah. That is not showing your mama the love!

It is what it is, at least until the bronchiolitis resolves. Hopefully things will return back to normal at that point and we won’t have to do any kind of sleep coaching.

On an unrelated note, I love this week’s candid photo because it shows both her sweet personality and how wiggly she is!
