We spent the majority of L.J.’s seventh week in Greenville at my parents. We had such a great time and it was incredibly hard to leave. I loved spending so much time with my parents and they were an enormous help with L.J.
L.J. had some new developments this week, including his first smiles!! I tried to capture them on camera, but it’s kind of hard to do. They are more little grins than big smiles at this point – but they are still adorable!
His eyelashes have come in and his eyebrows have started to darken. We still have no idea what color his hair is going to be – it looks brown, blonde or red depending on how the light is shining on it.
L.J. also had his first visits with non-family members this week. My mom’s friend Linda stopped by to say hello, as did her friend Carrie. I was so excited to meet Carrie! She has given us so many fabulous baby things for L.J.
I also took L.J. on his first outing. We attended the annual White Elephant gift exchange that my parent’s group of friends host every year. I was very nervous about bringing L.J. around other people – you know, they might breathe on him – but it ended up being just fine and the party was a lot of fun. He modeled perfect behavior and my parents were so proud to introduce him to their friends.

J.T. hanging out with his buddy “Little J” – love the bond these two already have with each other!!
My mom tried to distract L.J. by showing him the beautiful anniversary roses Mike sent me, and L.J. responded by practicing his new batting skills:
Peek-a-Boo!
And a couple more cute ones:
