Operation Ruthless

Who doesn’t start off the new year wanting to clean/organize/de-clutter??

I took the opportunity to really purge my closet while my mom was in town. It’s much easier to get rid of things when someone is there to help you decide what to keep and what to toss!

One of the things I liked about being pregnant was that I had a limited number of things to wear. It might sound odd, but it was so much easier to get dressed in the morning! I have a tendency to keep clothes way past their prime because they are either a sentimental favorite or I can’t find a similar item to replace it. (Trying to find things in my size is a major ordeal…)

But yesterday was Operation Ruthless. Among the many items donated were more than a dozen (each!) pants, shirts and sweaters. I was proud of myself for getting rid of two big black garbage bags worth of clothing – and boy does de-cluttering and organizing make you feel good afterwards!

Purge in progress:

(That doesn’t really convey the scope…the pile was about 2 feet tall)

(Wow…I’m embarrassed to admit I had that much excess in my closet)
