Each day on our way to and from school, we pass an “elephant”. L.J. is completely enamored with the elephant. He asks about seeing the elephant multiple times before we get to it, knows exactly where it is located and spends the remainder of the commute talking about the elephant. We talk about the elephant’s house, that elephants have noses called trunks, elephants poop and, no, the elephant cannot fit in the back of mommy’s van and come home with us. #sorrykid
Here’s the elephant:
Granted it’s not the best picture, but you can probably tell that the “elephant” is not actually an elephant. It’s a giant bison statue parked outside of Ted’s Montana Grill.
But L.J. is two and so we will all pretend that it’s an elephant and delight in his excitement at seeing his pachyderm friend each day.
P.S. – There’s another glimpse of the awesome traffic we sit in each afternoon…
