We took a family outing to a Touch-a-Truck event over the weekend. We were really excited for L.J. to experience it for the first time, so we went even though the weather was crummy. It was packed! There were people everywhere and the lines for most of the vehicles were crazy long. Between the crowds and recovering from a stomach bug, L.J. quickly became overwhelmed. Thank goodness we brought Baba!
(Why yes, I make an excellent coat rack for Baba…all the time…)
Fortunately, he was just as happy to tour some of the smaller vehicles that had little to no wait time. His favorite was the mini-bus – he got to sit in the front seat and honk the horn! Actually, he toured several mini buses and we had to drag him out of each one.
He got to sit in a Bobcat and check out the features on some of the great big trucks.
And our last vehicle was a big yellow school bus! L.J. thought it was even cooler than the mini buses. Mommy didn’t recall buses being quite so claustrophobic…
We didn’t stay very long, but it was a neat event and we look forward to going to more of them in the future!
