I hoped to check in with good news about our house search on Friday, but it’s a good thing I didn’t. Our application was approved but unfortunately the lease negotiations did not go well. We presented a small list of requests that was received poorly; the agent sent a nasty and rather unprofessional note back to our realtor and that raised a red flag for us. If the response was that hostile at our request to have a shower curtain rod installed, what’s going to happen when something of significance needs repaired?
So, sigh. Big sigh. Saturday was not a good day. Mike was out of town, L.J. whined all the live long day and I was dealing with this house news.
We’re back on the hunt. I did see another home in the same neighborhood for rent, so we have our fingers crossed that maybe it will be an option. Thankfully we have some time on our hands, but the rental market north of the city is not in our favor. Very low inventory and the desirable houses are leased almost immediately. Wish us luck because we’re going to need it!
(And sorry for such a dreary Monday post! I suppose it matches the weather outside…)
