We’ve reach the double digits of weeks, and I’m convinced each one goes by faster than the last. L.J. went on his first road trip this week, which will be detailed in another post.
Developmentally, we’ve hit a few more milestones this week. L.J. is now exclusively sleeping in his bed. Yay!! He can be a noisy sleeper and I think everyone is getting more rest with this arrangement. It took a couple nights for him to adjust, but overall it went pretty smoothly. He still wakes up for his paci several times at night and I have no clue how to curb this habit.
He likes to sleep in either a touchdown position or fully sprawled out…it’s really quite cute.
(He doesn’t sleep in a nest of blankets…he was napping and I was keeping an eye on him.)
L.J. has also discovered his fist and regularly shovels one or both of them into his mouth. He obviously doesn’t understand physics yet, and as such has been working extremely hard to get both fists shoved in his mouth at the same time. It is truly hilarious to watch him attempt this feat because he is convinced that it can be done…somehow…
And, finally, let’s talk about these weekly photo shoots for a minute. I don’t aim for photographic perfection with these pictures. First off, I don’t have the skill required with the camera or with Photoshop. Secondly, L.J. usually stops cooperating once he sees the camera. He can be Mr. Smile Pants and once I whip out the camera this is the typical expression I get:
(L.J. is not impressed…)
It takes about 15-20 photos to get one that works. I’m hoping it gets easier as he gets a little older and starts smiling more frequently and spontaneously!
