L.J. is 9 weeks old! He celebrated his 2-month birthday on Monday.
Developmentally, L.J. has started cooing and “talking” more frequently. I love it! My absolute favorite time of day is early morning. He looks up at me with a big smile and then will spend the next 15-20 minutes snuggling, smiling and talking. It’s such a sweet time with him.
He is now taking 5 ounces at each feeding, still every 3 hours. And he has outgrown most of his 0-3 month clothes. He is wearing 3-6 month or 6 month clothes depending on the brand.
We spent a good portion of this week in Greenville, where L.J. embarked on his first public outings. He had reached the 8 week mark and I knew I couldn’t keep him in unofficial quarantine forever. It was still hard though!! I’m so worried about him getting sick.
Thursday we went to the mall. We shopped at Dilliard’s and Belk, which were both practically deserted. Perfect! This was definitely a necessity outing as I had exactly one pair of pants that fit (and poorly at that). I found 2 pairs of jeans that will soon fit so the trip was a success.
Friday L.J. experienced his first trip to a restaurant. He was so impressed he slept through the whole outing. We went to Cracker Barrel mid afternoon and there were only about four other filled tables – again, perfect!
L.J. met his doggie cousin Ellie this week. His reaction to Ellie was, “Oh, that’s nice. Can I have the rest of my bottle now please?” Ellie’s reaction was, “What on earth is THIS?? Oooh...it makes funny noises! And check out all these SMELLS!!!!!”
She was so cute…she went around the entire first floor and smelled everything that belonged to L.J., and then she kept coming up to L.J. and smelling his feet.
